About Sara Stetson

Sara Stetson is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the Alaska Regional Senior Health Clinic. In 2005 Sara earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage, while serving as an active member of the United States Air Force. After being a Registered Nurse for nine years, she decided to pursue her advance practice nursing degree. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2014. Sara recently retired from active duty after 20 years of combined service in the United States Air Force and the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corp.

Her career has allowed her to serve the people of Alaska in the urban and rural setting. Her skill set grew with her ability to work in many different inpatient hospital units and outpatient clinics such as cardiovascular services, orthopedics, neurosurgical, medical-surgical, and oncology/infusion. As a Nurse Practitioner she worked in an oncology clinic and as a primary care/on-call emergency care provider in rural Sand Point, AK.

For the past 13 years, she has been dedicated to the health promotion and disease prevention school of thought. She has an exceptional track record of success with diagnosing, treating and caring for critical patients by building a trusting relationship. She has an endless amount of compassion for her patients, striving to listen to their concerns and design treatment plans that address their concerns. Most importantly, she treats every patient as if they were a member of her family.
